Meet our Outreach Coordinator
Get to know Isis (ee-sees), our new Outreach Coordinator. We asked her 8 questions to help us get to know her better. Check out what she said below!

What is your role with the Service Board?
I am the Outreach Coordinator at tSB. I have been working on our social media strategy and co-leading our social media committee. I will also be exploring ways to improve engagement with tSB alumni. Once we are able to have in-person events, I will be working with our volunteers. And lastly, I’m really excited to work with our amazing community partners.

What is your favorite thing about your job?
Supporting the Service Board’s mission! I was previously working as an engineer and product manager and wanted to do something that better aligned with my personal values. I am so grateful that I found that with the Service Board. This is such an incredible community!

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to try different things, so it really depends on my mood. Outdoors, I love birding, running, gardening, and fishing. Indoors, I like to bead jewelry, cook and bake, read, write, and watch Bob’s Burgers.

What motivates you?
Community! Knowing that I’m doing something that will help my community, contribute to change, and impact people in a positive way, especially youth.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I love music! I listen to a lot of genres, including (but not limited to): alternative, indie, soul, jazz, r&b, pop, reggaeton, lo-fi, hip-hop, rap…all in Spanish and English. I could go on and on (I’m not into country or heavy metal though).

What’s something about you that surprises people?
I am quiet when you first meet me, so when I bust out jokes, people seem surprised. I like to think that I’m pretty funny (am I allowed to say that?). My sarcasm also surprises people at times.

What are your top three favorite foods?
I love anything with veggies! Veggie tacos are definitely up there. Chilaquiles. Ramen.
