SLIP (Summer Leadership Impact Program) is a full 4-week program conducted mid-July to mid-August with culminating 2-day retreat at Westport. Youth participants include past and current Peer Leaders and Prophets.
SLIP includes 10-12 sessions which feature a deeper dive into issues impacting the outdoors, such as climate change, the state of our oceans and sustainable agriculture, combined with surfing trips, skateboarding lessons and hiking trips at national parks. SLIP builds on tSB’s Core Program curriculum through anti-racist theory workshops designed to develop youth’s knowledge and provide context to facilitate undoing institutionalized oppression conversations.
If you are a past or current tSB youth interested in participating in SLIP, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
