As a youth led organization, tSB build community through the power of youth. Our youth, staff, volunteers, and community partners all play an important role in building a strong community. Each year we present awards to the individuals and organizations that have made a lasting impact on the tSB community. The awardees reflect our mission and core values, and literally go above and beyond the traditional role of service.
The Golden Boot Award is a community award, meaning we ask all community members for nominations. This award is presented during our spring fundraiser (previously Retro Fools Day) in April. Nominees include past and current volunteers, staff, program partners, and donors.
The Golden Board Award is given by the organization, meaning staff and our board make nominations and come to an agreement on who wins the awards. Each year, we present a Golden Board Award to a community partner, a volunteer, and an alum. Current staff are not eligible for this award. All three Golden Board Awards are presented at our Soiree in October.
