Sarah (she/they) is currently pursuing an MSW at the University of Washington. They joined tSB as an MSW intern in 2025 as part of their first-year practicum. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. Sarah aims to better understand tSB’s core programming to bring a critically conscious, social justice-informed lens to data collection methods, analysis, and the stories the data tells.

Prior to starting their MSW program, Sarah worked in clinical psychology research with plans to pursue a career in academia. However, a desire to center marginalized groups’ lived experiences in research and practice, paired with their growing interest in supporting participants directly in their treatment journeys, adolescents, young adults, and their families to support them in defining and pursuing their own paths to healing.

Growing up outside of Nashville, TN, Sarah has enjoyed Western Washington’s temperate climate compared to the hot, humid summers of her childhood. In their free time, you can find Sarah paddleboarding, crafting, hiking, cheering on Seattle women’s sports teams, or cuddling up with their newly adopted kittens and a bowl of homemade popcorn.
