Mikey VillanuevaBoard of Directors

Mikey joined the tSB board in May of 2025. He’s been a supporter of the organization since 2017 as a donor and advocate. Mikey joined tSB as a volunteer snowboard instructor for the winters of 2024 and 2025. It was during these times on snow that he witnessed the life-changing impact that tSB has on the youth in our marginalized communities. The step up to join the board felt like the natural progression to contribute more to tSB’s mission of “building community through the power of youth.” Mikey has lived in Western Washington his entire life. He grew up in Olympia, moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, and planted roots in the Emerald City working primarily in learning and development for tech companies. He stayed homebased in the PNW to pursue his true passions—travel and snowboarding. Mikey has traveled the world to chase winter and recently shifted focus to building community in the mountains with groups like Soy Sauce Nation. It has been an honor to contribute his snowboarding experience to tSB as a snowboard instructor. Mikey looks forward to bringing this knowledge and skill set to the Board and to continue his growth as a community builder and ambassador as a tSB board member.
