We are Hiring a Co-Program Coordinator!

We are looking for a Co-Program Coordinator to partner with our current Program Coordinator and our Peer Leaders (second year youth participants) to develop and co-facilitate programming. This person will split coordinator responsibilities to successfully execute programming. This is a part-time position with the possible opportunity to transition into a full-time position by mid-2021.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in non-profit industry
• At least one-year experience with youth development programs
• Strong administrative skills and recognize the value of timely, concise and efficient communication
• Demonstrated analytical and evaluative skills to effectively interpret data/information
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in collaborating in a diverse and dynamic team environment
• Effective facilitator who embraces the challenge of managing a diverse group of program participants
• Enthusiastic demeanor that takes initiative and possesses a high tolerance for ambiguity
• Experience with, and understanding of, the diverse communities we serve
• Passion for the mission and values of tSB – mentoring, service, social justice and outdoor adventure
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Work evenings and weekends

Roles and Responsibilities

Recruitment and Retention
• Co-manage Peer Leaders to provide professional development to successfully develop and execute program curriculum and other program-related activities
• Build and maintain relationships with program participants and adult program volunteers
• Assist with program outreach to community youth and their families before and during Core Program
• Work with Program Manager to develop and manage retention plan for youth and adult volunteers
Program Coordination and Facilitation
• Responsible for execution and facilitation of successful Core Program – (January-June), twice a week programming (Wednesday nights and Saturdays) and Peer Leader meetings (Tuesday nights starting in September); and Summer Leadership Impact Program (4 weeks during July-August)
• Provide support to adult mentor volunteers and Peer Leaders in programmatic coordination, programming development and overall mission of tSB
• Effectively navigate participants through curriculum and group development stages toward intended program outcomes

Administration
• Serve as the main point of contact for all youth participants, their families, and program adult volunteers
• Work with staff to manage participant applications, release/insurance forms, financial aid information, volunteer background checks and snowboard gear inventory
• Track program attendance and service hours in a system for reporting purposes
• Work with staff to conduct evaluation of programs and support outcome reporting processes
• Assist Program Manager when necessary with administrative tasks relating to success of overall program

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• 20-25 hours/week
• Salary range is $17-$20/hour
